Terms of Use

Last Updated: April 9th, 2026

By accessing or using Chapter™ software ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use.

1. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Chapter™ software for your personal or commercial book creation purposes. Your purchase includes one book credit as specified.

2. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate book content. You acknowledge that:

AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and requires human review and editing before publication or distribution.

You are solely responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content for accuracy, originality, factual correctness, and compliance with applicable laws, including copyright, trademark, defamation, and privacy considerations.

We do not guarantee the originality, quality, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

AI cannot replace human judgment, expertise, or professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise).

You are the author of record for any book created using Chapter™ and bear full responsibility for the content you publish or distribute.

You must ensure all published content complies with copyright laws and does not infringe third-party rights.

2.1 Safety Guardrails

Chapter™ implements technical and policy guardrails designed to prevent the generation of unlawful, infringing, or harmful content. These include input filtering, output moderation, and prohibited-topic detection. You acknowledge that:

Attempting to bypass, disable, or circumvent these guardrails is a material breach of these Terms and grounds for immediate account termination without refund.

Chapter™ reserves the right to review, refuse, block, or remove any content generated through the Service that violates these Terms.

Chapter™ may suspend or terminate accounts engaged in prohibited use at its sole discretion.

3. User Content and Data

When using our Service, you may provide information, ideas, and content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but grant us a license to process it through our AI systems to provide the Service.

4. Intellectual Property

You own the books you create using our Service.

We retain all rights to the Chapter™ software, algorithms, and proprietary processes.

Our brand names, logos, and trademarks remain our property.

5. Prohibited Uses
